About Me
Brittany Cooper is a young Black poet living and breathing in southern California, using her writing to discuss things as mundane as visiting the car wash, to more heated topics like race and sexuality.
Picking up writing at the early age of nine, she strives to use poetry to present the world from a tilted perspective, and in so doing, create a poetic state of mind.
Brittany Cooper earned her bachelor’s degree in english at California State University, Long Beach, and is now seeking an M.A. in english. Her work can be found in such places as The Voice.
When not writing at her desk, she is more than likely writing on a scrap of paper she found in her pocket.
